Inclusive
包括人 (Bāokuò rén)

Inclusive or 包括人 (include people) means the following to me:

IRL - Inclusive or 包括人 means embracing, accepting, and actively seeking out those who may have been left out or lost.

Inclusive Design - In essence, inclusive design means making content, product or service easily accessible to literally everyone or as many people as possible, benefiting everyone rather than targeting specific groups of people.

When a product or service embraces the concept of inclusivity or 包括人, it essentially means that they are extending a very intentional welcome to all human beings, inviting each and everyone to partake in and appreciate what they provide.

When a much wider audience can use or access your product, it's undeniably advantageous. Inclusive design brings benefits to both people and businesses.

Why Should We Care?

Because if we the designers don't, who will?

Because creating new innovative features that looks amazing and also desirable but yet the ability to use is restricted or compromised for a specific group of people is not sustainable and ideal.

Because inclusive design benefits people - features that are useful for everyone and accessible to everyone means more people could use.

Because inclusive design benefits businesses - more people would and could use means value for business.

Perhaps the most important reason of them all, nore than just about meeting business objectives and numbers, because people matters!

Focusing on accessibility is a great way to breaking down barriers so that people with disabilities can access information, products, and services just like everyone else. This means making websites, buildings, transportation, and technology usable for those with disabilities, whether they have visual, auditory, mobility, or cognitive challenges. Accessibility efforts can include adding descriptions to images online or building ramps for wheelchair users, all aimed at promoting independence and full participation for people with disabilities.
