The Manulife App: setting the foundation right
Our customers consistently highlighted the value of having a dedicated app to access their policies, preferring it over a web-only experience. Responding to this feedback, with limited resources and complex constraints, the goal of this project was to create a new hybrid app that would provide a seamless way to access all 16 of our self-serve policy services.

Problems
It was clear to us from our research that there was a critical need for enhanced transparency and autonomy within user portfolios. The existing web-based infrastructure lacked the sophisticated capabilities and agility required for time-sensitive actions—such as reallocating funds during market volatility or performing comprehensive policy reviews for long-term financial planning.
